Hi, I’m Angie Wells, the horsewoman and educator behind the Equine Wellness Coach Mentorship™. I didn’t set out to become a mentor, but life and horses, have a way of showing us where we’re most needed.
When I began my career over two decades ago, my focus was clear: equine fitness, bodywork, and performance. I worked hands-on keeping sport horses strong, supple, and competition-ready, and I spent time in a rehabilitation center helping horses recover after injury. It was fulfilling, physical, and results-driven work.
I don’t take for granted the foundation I built in those years or the education I received through my certifications in Equine Sports Training and Equine Massage. Those programs gave me the structure and tools I needed to become a solid practitioner. And for a while, that was enough.
Until it wasn’t.
One of my own horses, a mare I knew inside and out, suddenly began to lose control of her hindquarters. Despite all my knowledge, experience, and professional network, no one could give me a clear answer. Vets offered vague diagnoses, and the overwhelming consensus was this: “There’s nothing more we can do. The kindest option is euthanasia.”
I was devastated. And something in me cracked wide open.
That moment changed everything. I began to question the “normal” signs we see every day in supposedly healthy horses. I started revisiting what I’d accepted as minor or manageable—both in my mare and in many of the client horses I worked with. I realized I had been missing something.
That realization led me to Animal Naturopathy.

Once I began applying naturopathic principles to my mare’s care, I witnessed her transformation firsthand. She didn’t just stabilize, she regained quality of life. The shift was real, measurable, and sustainable. Naturally, I began weaving these same principles into my work with client horses. The results? Next level! Their health, performance, and long-term soundness skyrocketed.
I referred every equine pro I could to the Naturopathy program that had changed everything for me. But then... that program closed its doors. And no other program filled its place, at least not in a way that was accessible, practical, or empowering for equine professionals doing real, everyday work in the field.
I waited. Nothing came.
So I created what I wish I had back then: A mentorship that combines real education, relatable support, and root-cause healing, designed specifically for equine professionals who want to do things differently.
Today, I run a successful international equine wellness coaching business and have helped countless professionals find their unique voice, refine their services, and build businesses that reflect their heart for horses.
The Equine Wellness Coach Mentorship™ is more than a program. It’s the culmination of 20+ years of experience, hundreds of horses, and a deep knowing that the way we care for and serve horses is ready to evolve, and so are the professionals doing the work.
If you’re ready to bring healing, depth, and alignment to both your work and your business, you’re in the right place. Let’s do it together.
